INTRODUCCION

La Probabilidad es un concepto muy amplio, que nos ayuda a tomar decisiones acertadas de acuerdo a los sucesos presentados. La probabilidad se encarga de medir la frecuencia con la que se obtiene un resultado en un proceso aleatorio.

Su estudio y aplicación es muy extenso debido a que a mediados del siglo XVII y hasta la fecha se han encontrado grandes aportaciones de personajes, que son de gran utilidad en áreas como la Matemática, Estadística Moderna, Física, Química, Filosofía, Biología, Ingeniera etc. Que aunque no muestre resultado preciso o determinado como se comento con anterioridad, su investigación nos permite incrementar el grado de confianza para tomar una optima decisión.

En este portafolio de evidencias se analizaran ejemplos de algunos tipos de probabilidad como a continuación se detallan.

El primer ejemplo que se analizara será el de la probabilidad de la frecuencia relativa, la presentación de un histograma y la expresión en porcentajes de los casos presentados.

Posteriormente se estudiara un segundo ejemplo donde analizaremos la probabilidad con base en sucesos compuestos.

Además encontraremos la solución al conjunto potencia donde P = { 1,2,3,4 } donde observaremos todas las posibles combinaciones que se puedan dar.

Por último se estudiara la Probabilidad de una diferencia, analizando 3 ejemplos para tener una mejor apreciación de este tema.

I. PROBALIDAD COMO FRECUENCIA RELATIVA

ACTIVIDAD 1

¿Cuál es la probabilidad de que una persona de 25 años de edad llegue hasta los 40, si de acuerdo con una tabla de mortalidad cada 93745 personas de 25 años de edad solo 87426 llegan a los 40 años?

Solución:

Probabilidad S = Numero de veces que el suceso E₁ ocurrió = h

Total de sucesos realizados n

Como h = 87426

n = 93745

Probabilidad S = Personas que llegan a los 40 años = 87426

Total de personas de 25 años 93745

= 0.9325

ACTIVIDAD 2

¿Cuál es la probabilidad de que una persona de 25 años de edad llegue hasta los 40 años, si de acuerdo con una tabla de mortalidad cada 93745 personas de 25 años de edad solo 87426 llegan a los 40 años?

II. PROBABILIDAD CON BASE EN LOS SUCESOS COMPUESTOS. (PROBABILIDAD AXIOMATICA)

ACTIVIDAD 1

1. Para participar en la rifa de un reloj, los alumnos de primer año compraron 18 boletos y los de segundo grado 12 boletos. ¿Cual es la probabilidad de que un alumno de primero o segundo gane la rifa? Se imprimieron 50 boletos.

Solución:

A: Un alumno de primer grado gana el premio.

B: Un alumno de segundo grado gana el premio

El suceso que nos interesa es E= A y B son mutuamente excluyentes, es decir, A ᴖ B = Ø

P (A o B) = P (A) + P (B) = 18/50 + 12/50 = 30/50 = 3/5 = 0.6

III. PROBABILIDAD DE UNA DIFERENCIA

La probabilidad de una diferencia se aplica cuando se quiere obtener la probabilidad de que un suceso determinado ocurra y que simultáneamente otro suceso, también determinado, no ocurra.

Se expresión así:

P (A – B) = P (A) – P (A ᴖ B)

Esta relación se conoce como ley general de sustracción de probabilidades. También se utilizan las relaciones:

ACTIVIDAD 1

En una urna hay pelotas rojas numeradas del 1 al 10 y pelotas azules numeradas del 1 al 5. ¿Cual es la probabilidad de que al extraer al azar una pelota sea roja y no tenga el numero 5?

Solución:

A: Se extrae pelota roja

B: Sale el numero 5

El suceso que nos interesa es A – B. Aplicamos la relación:

P (A – B) = P (A) – P (A ᴖ B)

Con

P (A) = 10/15

P (A ᴖ B) = 1/15

Porque solo hay una pelota roja marcada con el número 5 del total de las 15 pelotas.

Por lo tanto:

P (A – B) = 10/15 – 1/15 = 9/15

= 0.6000

= 60%

Otro procedimiento para resolver este problema es revisando la probabilidad como frecuencia relativa, así:

La probabilidad de que Antonio gane un juego de tenis es de 2/5 y la probabilidad de que Juan gane es de 1/4 ¿Cual es la probabilidad de que Antonio gane el torneo en que participa si en el juego final se enfrenta a Juan?

B: gane Juan

El suceso que nos interesa es que gane Antonio y simultáneamente que Juan pierda. Por tanto, aplicamos la siguiente relación:

P (A – B) = P (A) – P (A ᴖ B). Con P (A) = 2/5, ahora es necesario calcular P (A ᴖ B)

Como A y B son sucesos dependientes aplicamos la siguiente relación:

P (A ᴖ B) = P (A y B) = P (A). P (B)

= 2/5(1/4) = 2/20

P (A – B) = P (A) – P (A ᴖ B)

= 2/5 – 2/20 = 8 – 2 = 6/20 = 0.3

CONCLUSION

Se concluye que la probabilidad es universal y que desde tiempos atrás hasta la actualidad a evolucionado a pasos agigantados, está presente en las diferentes actividades que día a día realizamos por ejemplo: juegos de azar, es decir al lanzar una moneda, un dado, en un juego de lotería, etc.; gracias a estos resultados obtenidos podemos predecir lo que se quiera lograr, su influencia también se ve reflejada en ciencias como la Matematica, Estadistica, Filosofia, Quimica, etc. Ya que atra ves de la medición de la frecuencia de los distintos resultados presentados en los experimento aleatorios, se pueden tomar decisiones más eficaces y acertadas para el logro de objetivos planteados.

PRESENTE Y FUTURO DE LA ENSEÑANZA DE LA MATEMÁTICA DE LA EDUCACIÓN MEDIA SUPERIOR: UNA MIRADA DESDE EL NORESTE DE MÉXICO

Resumen

En este apartado, un grupo de profesores de matemáticas de la región noreste de la República Mexicana hace un recuento de la situación actual de la Educación Media Superior en el país, con énfasis en lo que acontece en la región en que se ubica su práctica profesional, a la luz de la Reforma Integral que actualmente vive este nivel educativo y del estado que guardan cada uno de sus actores: currícula, profesores, estudiantes, directivos. Desde su práctica docente, reflexionan en torno a los últimos resultados de las evaluaciones nacionales y su significado para el futuro del país. A partir de ello, plantean una ruta sobre la cual reorientar el currículum de matemáticas de la EMS enfatizando el rol de las TIC en los nuevos escenarios de aprendizaje de la matemática.

Abstract

In this section, a group of math teachers in the region northeast of the Mexican Republic, recount of the current status of upper secondary education in the country, with emphasis on what happens in the region in which their practice is located in light of the Integral Reform currently living this level of education and the state that keep each of its actors: curriculum, faculty, students, managers. From their teaching practice, they reflect on the recent national assessment results and their significance for the country's future. From this, they suggest a route on which to refocus the math EMS curriculum emphasizing the role of ICT in the new scenarios of learning mathematics.

In this section, a group of math teachers from the northeast of Mexico, recount the current status of high school education in the country (9-12), with emphasis on what happens in this region in light of the Integral Reform currently in progress and the state of each aspect: curricula, faculty, students, and administration. They reflect, based on their teach ing practice, on the recent national assessment results, and their significance for the country’s future. A path is suggested to refocus the 9-12 math curriculum, emphazising the role of ICT in the new mathematics learning scenario.

ENTRE EL CURRÍCULUM OFICIAL E IMPARTIDO: CONTENIDOS Y OBJETIVOS

Resumen

Este documento contiene los elementos centrales de una investigación que adopta como objeto de estudio al currículum matemático escolar. En particular estudia la relación que pudiera existir entre el currículum oficial y el currículum impartido, intenta encontrar respuesta a una pregunta nodal: qué se enseña en el aula respecto de lo que se prevé en los planes y programas de estudio de matemáticas, en cuanto al contenido y los objetivos propuestos. Toma como escenario de investigación un grupo de escuelas del preuniversitario mexicano. Para estudiar esa relación se hace un estudio comparativo entre lo que se prevé en los programas y las notas de clase de los estudiantes.

Abstract

This document contains the core elements of an investigation that takes as its object of study in the school mathematics curriculum. In particular study the relationship that may exist between the official curriculum and the taught curriculum, try to find nodal response to a question: what is taught in the classroom about what is expected in the plans and programs of study in mathematics. Research scenario taken as a group of Mexican pre-university schools. To study this relationship makes a comparative study between what is expected in the programs and class notes from students.

This document contains the core elements of an investigation of the school mathematics curriculum. In particular, the study of the relationship that may exist, between the official curriculum, and the curriculum actually taught. The research tries to find an answer to the question: What is taught in the classroom compared to what is written in the mathematics plans and programs. A group of pre-university schools in Mexico is the research scenario. The student notebooks are used to compare what is expected, and what is actually taught.

HACIA DÓNDE REORIENTAR EL CURRÍCULO MATEMÁTICO DEL BACHILLERATO. REALIDADES Y RETOS

Resumen

Con la pretensión de responder a la pregunta ¿Hacia dónde reorientar el currículo matemático del bachillerato?, en este trabajo se considera importante y necesario contextualizar el tema abordando el contexto mundial de la educación superior a través de la visión y declaraciones de la UNESCO, identificar las tendencias internacionales de reforma del bachillerato, analizar la reforma nacional que implementa el Sistema Nacional de Bachillerato, auspiciado por ANUIES y aplicado por la SEP, y con ello plantear algunos de los principales retos que enfrenta la reforma nacional. Bajo este marco se analiza la tendencia del currículo matemático del bachillerato a nivel nacional, y luego, se plantean algunas reflexiones y propuestas en torno hacia dónde y cómo debe reorientarse dicho currículo, aprovechando las condiciones generadas por la reforma, los recursos disponibles, y la disposición y programas de gobierno.

Abstract

With the aim of answering the question Where redirect baccalaureate mathematics curriculum?, this work is considered important and necessary to contextualize the issue by addressing the global context of higher education through the vision and statements of UNESCO, to identify international trends in baccalaureate reform, analyzing the national reform implemented by the National System of Baccalaureate, sponsored by ANUIES and applied by the SEP, and thus raise some of the major challenges for national reform. Within this framework, to analyze the trend of high school mathematics curriculum at national level, and then discusses some reflections and proposals on where and how to reorient the math curriculum, using the conditions generated by the reform, the available resources, and the government programs available.

To answer the question: In which direction college mathematics curriculum should go? this research is deemed important and necessary to contextualize the issue according to UNESCO vision and statements, to international trends in college reform, analyzing the Mexican Association of Higher Education Institutions (ANUIES), reform proposals, and applied by the National Ministry of Education (SEP), and thus raise some of the major challenges for national reform. Within this framework the high school mathematics curriculum trend at the national level is analyzed. Some reflections and proposals are presented on where and how to reorient the math curriculum, using the conditions generated by the reform, the available resources, and the government programs available.,

RENDIMIENTO ESCOLAR EN MATEMÁTICAS: CASOS EN LA ENSEÑANZA MEDIA SUPERIOR Y SUPERIOR

Resumen

En este escrito se ofrece una visión sintética de los cambios de paradigmas en el currículum escolar de enseñanza media superior en las últimas décadas. Particularmente, se discute la situación del currículum matemático desde una perspectiva del desempeño académico observado en jóvenes que cursan educación media y aquellos que han ingresado a estudios superiores. Se concluye sobre la eminente necesidad de reorientar el currículum matemático escolar hacia el desarrollo de conocimiento y habilidades matemáticas, científicas y tecnológicas en forma sistémica, donde el uso del conocimiento y el desarrollo del pensamiento matemático constituyen ejes principales de reorganización de saberes y prácticas escolares.

Abstract

In this paper offers a synthetic view of the paradigm shifts in the school curriculum of high schools in the last decades. In particular, we discuss the situation of the mathematic curriculum from the perspective of academic performance observed in young people attending middle school and those who have entered higher education. It´s concluded regarding the eminent need to reorient the school mathematic curriculum towards the development of mathematical knowledge and skills, science and technology in a systemic way, where the use of knowledge and the development of mathematical thinking constitute the main axes of reorganization of knowledge and school practices.

In this paper a synthetic view of the paradigm shifts in the school curriculum of high schools in the last decade is offered. In particular, we discuss the situation of the mathematic curriculum from the perspective of academic performance observed in young people attending highschool and those who have entered higher education. The conclusion is the eminent need to direct the school mathematics curriculum towards the development of mathematical knowledge and skills, science and technology in a systemic way, where the use of knowledge and the development of mathematical thinking constitute the main axes of reorganization of knowledge and school practices.

RELACIÓN ENTRE EL CURRÍCULUM OFICIAL Y EL CURRÍCULUM POTENCIAL. EL CASO DE LOS TEXTOS DE PREPARATORIA

Resumen

Este trabajo de investigación se centra en el estudio el currículum matemático escolar. En particular se interesa por estudiar la relación que pudiera existir entre el Currículum Oficial y el Potencial. El Currículum Oficial está cifrado en el conjunto de documentos que oficializan las autoridades educativas que fijan o proponen los programas de las asignaturas, contenidos, objetivos que deben alcanzarse, etc. El Currículum Potencial se concreta en las publicaciones docentes, libros de texto, auxiliares didácticos, etc. En particular esta investigación sólo estudia la relación entre el Currículum Oficial y los textos oficiales de matemáticas del bachillerato, en particular, los textos editados por la UAG. Los resultados obtenidos hasta el momento indican que existe una relación débil entre los objetivos propuestos en el currículum y las explicaciones, ejemplos y actividades de aprendizaje, propuestas en los libros de de texto.

Abstract

This research study focuses on the school math curriculum. In particular is interested in studying the relationship that may exist between the official curriculum and the potential. The official curriculum is encrypted on the set of documents that formalized education authorities set or propose the syllabi content, and objectives to be achieved, etc. The potential specific curriculum in educational publications, textbooks, teaching aids, etc. In particular, this research only examines the relationship between the official curriculum and official texts of high school math, in particular, the texts published by the UAG. The results obtained so far indicate a weak relationship between the curriculum objectives and explanations, examples and learning activities proposed in the text books.

This study focuses on the mathematics school curriculum. In particular it is concerned with the relationship which may exist between the official curriculum and the potential one. The official curriculum is encrypted on the set of documents set or proposed by education authorities in the syllabi, and objectives to be achieved, etc.. The potential curriculum is the one in educational publications, textbooks, teaching ads, etc.. In particular, this research only examines the relationship between the official curriculum and official texts of high school math published by the Guerrero Autonomous University (UAG). The results obtained so far indicate a weak relationship between the curriculum objectives and explanations, examples and learning activities proposed in the textbooks.

LAS MATEMÁTICAS DEL BACHILLERATO EN EL INSTITUTO POLITÉCNICO NACIONAL

Resumen

Presentamos una propuesta de diseño curricular para el área de matemáticas en el bachillerato del Instituto Politécnico Nacional. Esta propuesta tiene como uno de sus principios rectores el reconocimiento de que los problemas educativos son problemas de sistema por lo que requieren, para avanzar en su solución, un enfoque sistémico. En el plano general, exponemos tres marcos institucionales. En el plano particular la propuesta comprende dos elementos. Por un lado, desde el ámbito de la investigación en diseño curricular, el marco de los currículos establece los niveles de concreción que van desde los objetivos de una institución hasta el trabajo en el salón de clases. Y, por otro lado, se hacen explícitas las dimensiones de los fenómenos didácticos. Finalmente, se presenta la propuesta que debe articularse con un programa de formación docente en matemáticas como un proyecto de innovación educativa.

Abstract

The current proposal of curricular design has been designed for High school Mathematics students at National Polytechnic Institute. This proposal highlights as one of its governing principles the recognition on which some of the educative challenges have their origin into system problems, that is the reason why they require, to advance in their solution, a systemic approach. In general, we take advantage of the institutional curricular framework principles. The proposal includes two elements. On the one hand, from the scope of the research in curricular design, the curriculum framework establishes the concretion levels that go from the objectives of an institution up to action research. And, on the other hand, the dimensions have been made explicit out of the didactic phenomena. Finally, the proposal of curricular design must be articulated, in a holistic approach, with a program of professional development in mathematics like a project of educative innovation.

Resumen

En este trabajo se presenta un conjunto de consideraciones sobre el doble carácter, (herramienta-objeto), de la relación entre la modelación y la resolución de problemas; esto es, los modelos como herramienta para resolver problemas (objeto) y los problemas como herramientas para formar objetos matemáticos. En estas dos direcciones utilizamos modelos de ecuaciones algebraicas lineales y cuadráticas y sistemas de ecuaciones algebraicas lineales.

El objetivo de estas consideraciones es justificar la presentación y ejemplificación de una propuesta para reorientar el currículum matemático escolar hacia la solución de problemas del contexto y la modelación en su doble carácter.

Abstract

A set of considerations about the double character, (tool-object) of the relationship between the modeling and the resolution problems is shown in this paper; i. e., the models like tool to solve problems (objects) and the problems like tools to construct mathematic objects. We utilize models of linear and quadratic algebraic equations and linear equation systems, in these two directions.

LECTOMATEMÁTICA: LENGUAJE COTIDIANO VS LENGUAJE MATEMÁTICO

Resumen

En este escrito se describen y discuten aspectos sobre el aprendizaje de las matemáticas, observados en trabajos de investigación, así como de las experiencias docentes, derivadas de actividades en el desarrollo de la Maestría en Enseñanza de las Matemáticas y antes, de la Licenciatura en Enseñanza de las Matemáticas, en la Universidad de Guadalajara. Se plantea como reflexión esencial la orientación que debería tener el currículum matemático escolar del nivel bachillerato.

Entre otros, se discute un problema que parece influyente para el aprendizaje de las matemáticas del nivel, i.e., el pobre dominio del español, lo que dificulta la comprensión del lenguaje especializado de las matemáticas y la traducción al simbólico, así como la interpretación y construcción de gráficas: lectomatemática. Se proponen tendencias.

In this writing aspects related to the learning of mathematics in preparatory level are described and argued; those were observed along the research work, as well as from the teaching experiences in the actual development of the Master in Teaching Mathematics and before, of the Bachelor in Teaching Mathematics, in the University of Guadalajara. It is posed as an essential reflection, the orientation that would have to have the curriculum for the mathematics in preuniversity level.

Comments are provided about the problem that seems to be influential for the learning of the mathematics included in that level, that is, the poor dominion of the Spanish, what hampers the understanding of the specialized language of mathematics, and the translation to the symbolic language, in addition to the interpretation and building of graphics, that is what is called lectomathematics. Finally, proposals are stated.

EL CURRÍCULUM EN EL NIVEL MEDIO SUPERIOR Y DESARROLLO DE COMPETENCIAS MATEMÁTICAS

Resumen

En este artículo hacemos una explicación del currículum de matemáticas enfocado al desarrollo de competencias en el nivel medio superior, proponemos que dicho currículum se vertebre con los tres ejes sentido numérico y pensamiento algebraico, forma, espacio y medida, y manejo de la información. De tal forma que los seis cursos que se ofrecen estén articulados y encaminados a formar personas capaces de conformar sociedades del conocimiento. Documentamos que una forma de lograrlo es que los alumnos desarrollen competencias matemáticas, que les asegure un desempeño exitoso en las diversas prácticas que realicen.

Abstract

In this paper we made and explanation of the mathematic curriculum focuses on the competence development in the high school, we propose that this curriculum is structured with the three axis numerical sense and algebraic thinking, shape, space and measure, and information management. So that the six courses offered are articulated and aimed to bring up people capable to forming knowledge societies. We documented that a way to achieve it is that students develop mathematical competences, which assures a successful performance in the wide range practices they perform.

EVALUACIÓN DEL CURRÍCULUM MATEMÁTICO ESCOLAR APRENDIDO. EL CASO DEL NIVEL MEDIO SUPERIOR DE LA UAG

Resumen

El presente artículo se centra en los resultados de un proyecto de investigación cuyo objetivo consiste en evaluar el currículum matemático escolar aprendido del Nivel Medio Superior (NMS) de la Universidad Autónoma de Guerrero. La evaluación consiste en comparar lo que se propone en los planes y programas de matemáticas vs lo que los estudiantes al finalizar los cursos aprendieron. Para ello se elaboró y aplicó un instrumento de evaluación, diseñado sobre la base de la exploración de los dominios cognitivos: conocimiento de hechos y de procedimientos, utilización de conceptos, resolución de problemas habituales y razonamiento. Para la realización de la evaluación, se seleccionó una muestra aleatoria proporcional a la población, el análisis de los datos se hizo con el software estadístico JMP. Los resultados obtenidos indican la existencia de una asimetría marcada ente el currículum oficial y el aprendido.
